Pregnancy is the journey of creating your little miracle. Let's be honest, it's not always as

glamorous as the photos. It is a beautiful chaotic journey that will change your life for the better. If you're lucky, you might just get to eat everything you want and twice as much.
Short Answer
The best time to schedule your session is between 29-35 weeks gestation.
Why?
Well, I'm glad you asked. I will give you three reasons why. One, there are less possibilities that your baby will be born before your session. Two, you will be more comfortable. Three, accident prevention, yup it can happen!
Don't Wait Too Long
According to Parents, "about 80 percent—deliver sometime between 37 and 42 weeks." You don't want to start going into labor a few days just before your session. You will be so

bummed out that all your efforts to look and book the best photographer were for nothing. Well, not really there should be a refund policy, but it sure will feel like it. Why add more stress during this time? Thats the last thing you need. My client on the photo shown and I
both got lucky, her more than I. My maternity session was last minute and shortly after my baby was born. On the other hand, my client has got to be the luckiest person because her baby was born the following day after the session. I know, crazy right?, she was a total trooper. So why risk it?
Comfort
Comfort, comfort, comfort. One of the many things I was constantly thinking about when I was pregnant. Maybe it was just me that felt like I was going to tip over if i didn't bend my back more. During my shoot I just remember saying every 10 seconds, "Oh my god, hold on, I think I'm going to pee myself" or "oooohhh, hold on, wait for me, the baby is playing soccer ball with my bladder...oh brother my back seriously hurt right there" I mean it sounds like I'm a whiner, but unless you've been there, which if you're reading this you can probably relate. The bottom line is, unless you're a professional actress and can make make happy faces without looking so tense during your session while baby is bumping heads with your bladder, then be my guest but I really don't recommend it. You want to enjoy the fact that you got pampered and looked stunning, you deserve it!
Oopsies!
It's pretty obvious that at this point in your pregnancy that accidents can happen unexpectedly. Earlier this year, one of my clients booked her session in time and we had a short hike up Red Rock and it did not even phase her. I was a little embarrassed, I was the one who was huffing and puffing on our way up. Be like my client momma and schedule your session on time. Victory loves preparation! The fact is the closer you are to your due date the bigger the baby and the more pressure there is on your bladder. It's safe to say that during 29-35 weeks gestation the possibility of an accident happening is unlikely.
That's it guys and gals! I can go on and on with more stories, but those are my main reasons why I highly recommend you schedule your maternity session between 29-35 weeks gestation.
